    My landlord told me rent from August 2018 and she owed me from September 2018 she filed eviction on me and put legal fees on me then she credit me back for the month of September but did not credit me back for the month of August of because of her mistake now she has security guards to write up citations with fines that she puts on the lease rent when they have no authority to write you fines can someone please help me or find someone to help me I have court on September 25th I have all my documentation my ledger never been late on my rent besides once that was on her that’s why she owes me for August 2018 she’s been harassing the tenants I do have a case worker on sight that she let know that she did not want our program here and that she will do everything in her power to get the people on the program off her property my case worker do not want to get into it because they said she said that they have a partnership with them and she need to ask her supervisor if she can write that statement for me I don’t know why she’s my case worker is she cannot help me if somebody told her that is housing discrimination can somebody body please call me I am in Texas 972-481-4228

    I have been evicted from a HUD senior housing project in santa barbara, california. My neighbor (common-wall) has hacked my phone and computer and harassed me over a five-year period and for a year, had an illegal tenant (girlfriend) living with him. He claimed numerous times that he had a contact at the Housing Authority Office that would support him in any issue against me.


    This neighbor, and I know it’s hard to believe, has stalked me around town, had his friends stalk me, had motorcycles buzz me on my bike and cars do the same. 1 1/2 years ago I was knocked off my bike by a car door opening into the bicycle lane on State Street in Santa Barbara. I suffered a concussion and severe back injuries and have been treated ($45,000 in medical) since the collision…I’m confident that it was no accident.


    I have never been late with my rent in five years, have passed every inspection and maintained my landscaped yard to the point of commendation by management. The only problems I’ve had with any other tenants are with his Veteran buddies and a few other close friends of his.


    I have complained 15 to 20 times to management, who have taken each of these complaints and twisted them into Lease Violations to justify their over-the -top eviction notice.


    I used Legal Aid to help defend me with some effect…I was given 90 days to leave and a

    Voucher…of course there is little or nothing for lease in Santa Barbara that would come close in location and quality to what I now have.


    It’s my contention that there is, and has been a plan all along, with collusion among the neighbor, the site manager and the director of the Housing Authority to replace me with another favored tenant.


    Legal Aid convinced me that there was no hope if we were to go to trial even if he merits of the case were with me. They said that the judge would merely rubber-stamp whatever the Housing Authority requested and that I would only have a few days to move out and with no Voucher…I, of course took his advice but have been harassed constantly by the same actors for the last two months in much the same ways as before in a blantant attempt to remove me before October the 18th, which is my last day at the property.


    Bottom Line: It has taken corruption to remove me from a place that I should justifiably be able to remain in. I have violated no laws or lease agreement issues while they have violated both criminal and civil laws to justify removing me.


    Currently, there is a severe mold issue in my apartment that has confirmed by a testing agency. Management is doing nothing to alleviate the problem and I am forced to sleep on a mat in my living room rather in the bedroom where the mold is an issue. My back and neck are still in a severe state from the bike collision and I have ongoing medical problems with each, which management has ignored.


    Can your organization be of help? I’m 75 years of age on December 9th.

    why is housing authority, HCIDLA and the landlord passing hardwire detectors as electric. They have been doing then wrong since 1982. i need your help to stop this negligence. They are leaving thousands in danger.

    I am a tenant who has been facing Health Hazards Rekated to Black Mold infestation also other hazards conditions in my apartment which I have a section eight certificate. I been having difficulties with the Boston Housing Inspectional Services and ISD serving these violations to my landlord over two years. I reached out to the Health Department which they had no problem serving him. I am facing my fourth eviction two of the cases end up in the SJC and the hearing date inter SJC is on September 7, 2018. I am having problems finding another apartment and I do not know when Aand how I am in need of resources if I have to put my belonged in storage. I need some emergency 🚨 assistance due to the hazard conditions. Thanks Melinda

    I live in a HUD unit better known as Jewish Community Housing Corporation in West Orange, New Jersey. I am part of group trying to organize a ‘Tenants association’… Problem is there is an existing association which is more of a social club than a tenants association and our management refuses to recognize our efforts and refuses to support us. We want to better the lives of those in our building, but are helpless against the management who outright refuses to recognize our efforts. Will not allow us to hold a meeting in our dining area, but allows the current tenants association free reighn.

    Lead poisoning has been and still is a very real threat to the health and development of all children. Primary prevention is still the best strategy to protect children from lead, and consideration of multiple sources of lead exposure is critical. It is important to recognize that there are multiple ways children can be exposed to lead that may differ by regions and households. Environmental Hazards Services has developed the LeadSmart Kit Program to help with this primary prevention strategy. EHS has helped launch over 19 successful HUD grantee kit programs and Community Action Groups since 2004 for a combined total of more than 80,000 customized kits. HUD grantee’s Non-Profits and other community partners are using these kits as part of their community outreach programs.


    Because Lead Poisoning in the drinking water is in the forefront of the news again and the understanding that some states require licensed Lead Inspectors or state laboratories to take and analyze their samples, most of them are overwhelmed and so backed up due to the high demand, causing delays in reaching high risk families in a timely manner. This is where the LeadSmart Kit Program can help your program reach your goal of getting to all those that in living in the high risk areas.

    Hello, I’m on section 8 and have been renting/ renting to own a house since august 2014 the owner served me a 60 day notice to vacate on June 18th then on July 24th a lady opens my front door and throws papers in my house then slams my front door shut, It was an unlawful detainer/eviction giving me 5 days to reply/answer which i did. Then on Saturday August 11th a 90 Day Termination of Tenancy was tacked to my front door. Is this Legal? Can he evict me before a termination notice?

    Rental duplex by private owner who has entered my property when I’m not home taking me to court without having evidence I won and has retaliated leaving me with raw sewage damage retaliation include taking a air conditioning unit disabled 50 year old with a child resources at volunteer lawyer project suggesting small claims court won’t save me from being homeless in about 5 days.     Hello, I am in need of legal assistance to protect me. I’m a renter in Los Angeles county dealing with an illegal landlord and an illegal sublease. The management company is aware of the illegal activity on her part as well as my rent going towards my “landlord”’s (who actually is a renting tenant not owner of condo) other unit which she resides and rents along with her boyfriend (that particular unit lease under her boyfriend’s name and her name is on the master lease for the unit which I’m renting a bedroom in.). All of this coming to fruition in March when I found it Unlawful Detainer taped to the door of the residence that I’m renting from and discovering the management company had no idea I was subleasing as well as it being a direct violation of the terms & conditions of the master lease for my “landlord” or as I should say “illegal landlord.” Claymine be unlawful detainer was for breeze in late payments from prior tenants before I moved in I took her word for it and found out several days ago that in fact nothing was paid for January or February even though I paid $1500 each month which obviously went for her units since her boyfriend moved out and she was taking care of the rent herself. Before I found out about the embezzlement of my rant I went ahead and signed a 30 day notice of termination of the lease and now in faced with having to re-cancel and withdraw my signature because of my discovery as well as my concern over my $1500 security deposit ever be returned to me. I’m not sure how lawful my plan is but it’s the only thing I can think of at this point that would guarantee the return of my security deposit In which I do need in order to move into her new apartment of my own. And addition I have done my own research with the new developments I’ve discovered that my building is under rent control stabilization ordinance. I’ve learned that very fact and the nature in which my illegal landlord is attempting to end my tenancy ( aside from the fact it was completely unlawful from the beginning) and the contract lease agreement we signed together is hense null & void apar from certain “implied” aspects of it- she is so responsible financially assist in the relocation and I’ve had several lawyers give me free consultation and advise me to even see her in court. I’m not looking to make this a drawnout situation but I need to protect myself for the next 30 days as I save for & secure my new place and she’s already become retaliatory showing up unannounced late at night harassing me and calling the police on me to have me removed. This individual obviously has no clue or even an elementary understanding of Tenant/Llord laws & rights let alone due responsibilities. Certainly didn’t seem to understand the severity of the UD she was named in. Please give me a call and help me with this

    I am being bullied at HUD complex for independent seniors because I have PTDS and don’t like to socialize. I have brought this to the staff several times only to meet with that’s not happening. I did go by the office and heard then laughing that I deserve to be bullied because I don’t socialize. The bulling has now escalated to physical. You would be amazed what injuries can be inflicted without me being about to prove. I ended up in the ER for 5 hours because of this. The manager even refuses to move to another unit. Who can I report this to without getting thrown out – because that is what the tenant representative it implying will happen to me if I keep up trying to report this.

    Dear Ms. Obele, I received your letter on April 13th stating concerns of sanitation in my kitchen. I can assure you that my unit is clean, as I have a professional clean my home once a week for the past year. You can inspect the kitchen with the homemaker present, as well as a health inspector, so that we have documentation, and witnesses to your attempt of scapegoating the issue of rabid rat and cockroach infestation, due to poor management, and trash maintenance by Concord Housing.


    Many tenants of both buildings have been communicating about our concerns with heath hazards, and housing code violations here at Concord Housing . Rain pours down in my unit as I type this letter. It has been a consistent problem since the day I moved in. There is always flooding in the halls, and other units as well, causing fear of black mold and other respiratory problems. The trash is running over the trash receptacle, and is pouring out onto the floors in the trash rooms, because there is no adequate dumpster for trash disposal for all of the residents of Concord Housing. These are the breeding conditions that cause the infestation of both Concord Housing buildings with cockroaches and rats. People are being bitten by rats in their beds. Food is being contaminated by cockroaches and rats. The brand new stove that was put in my unit was destroyed by rats chewing the wires, and no longer works. The technician you sent to repair the stove said it needs to be replaced, and that no one deserves to live like this. The stove has still not been replaced or fixed for 2 months.


    Cockroaches are proven or suspected carriers of the organisms that cause the following infections:


    •Salmonellosis


    •Typhoid Fever


    •Cholera


    •Gastroenteritis


    •Dysentery


    •Leprosy


    •Plague


    •Campylobacteriosis


    •Listeriosis


    •Giardia


    Cockroaches can also trigger asthma and other allergies as well as spread E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus.


    Diseases directly transmitted by rodents:


    *Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome


    *Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome


    *Lassa Fever


    *Leptospirosis


    *Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis (LCM)


    *Omsk Hemorrhagic Fever


    *Plague


    *Rat-Bite Fever


    *Salmonellosis


    *South American Arenaviruses (Argentine hemorrhagic fever, Bolivian hemorrhagic fever, Sabiá-associated hemorrhagic fever, Venezuelan hemorrhagic fever)


    *Tularemia


    I request Concord Housing to actually fix the aforementioned problems, rather than use a false narrative to scapegoat me for the decay, and infestation of rats and cockroaches of both buildings.

    I live in San Diego and I’m under a HUD vaulchers program and I have had to get two restraining orders against neighbors who have harrassed and threatened my life. Can they remain in the location with a restraining order against them?
