1. People join for all the “wrong” reasons.
  2. People can be recruited only by on or more of their“own”.
  3. Once they join, the work begins
  4. Don't over promise; you can never produce.
  5. People like honesty, for example: “We messed up on that,” or “I don't know”.
  6. People like strength, for example: “This will cost you $ x.xx per year, because it's worth it.”
  7. An offer produces faster and better than a sales pitch.
  8. Ask for a timetable--no matter how far in the future--for a decision
  9. Always follow up every lead.
  10. Don't feel too bad when you lose one.
